We understand the importance of early learning and socialising for puppies.  These first weeks when your puppy is taken out into the world will help shape his/her future and attitude to life and the world he/she lives in.  We want to help you give your puppy the best start you can and give you advice on how to deal with the new situations you and the puppy will encounter.  The new format will be a

‘Puppy Hour’ Group Class

The classes take place on Wednesday evenings at 6.00pm and 7.00pm indoors at Woofy’s Dog Training Centre, located on the main Clane to Celbridge Road.  Directions are available on the locations page.

NOTE - These classes may not be suitable for dogs that are reactive towards other dogs or people.  Please contact us before booking to discuss this.

How does this differ from the Basic Level 1 Course?

A new course will start every 2 or 3 weeks to avoid long delays getting started with your new puppy.  You and your puppy will cover  some basic obedience exercises with the addition of socialising with other people and dogs, dealing with play-biting, jumping up and getting your puppy used to certain noises.

How many lessons are there?

The course consists of 5 lessons, 1 hour each.

What are the age limits?

Puppies from 10 weeks to 6 months can join this group, once all vaccinations are up to date.  We recommend also getting the Kennel Cough vaccination, please discuss this with your vet.

What is the cost?

You will sign up for a course of 5 lessons, the total cost … €135.00 per puppy

On the first night you will receive a Puppy Training Starter Pack.

Who can attend class with the puppy?

We welcome as many members of the family to come along to class, it is important that everyone is involved in the puppies education.
